“ The food is amazing. The restaurant takes blame for apps such as just eat who are a Terrible service and gives restaurants such as this a bad name for late delivery, it is not their fault. Do not order on just eat! But highly recommended to order from mama ritas!! ”
“ Small and simple eatery that could be easily over looked at the bottom of town that make up for it diminutive size by serving up big flavoured Afro Caribbean dishes cooked fresh every time. Good selection of well portioned dishes to pick from & the spiciness can be varied to please everyone. Food can be ordered to take away, or sit in and people watch while your order us prepared. Highly recommend a visit. Goat curry is simply the best. ”
“ Really tasty Caribbean cuisine. Everything was made to order so took a while but well worth the wait. Staff were very welcoming and the new premise on Mayflower Street has a really good vibes Spicy plump prawn for starter, then curry goat was full of flavour, meat was tender, I loved it. Ordered spiced banana and it was a real treat. I will definitely go back to try some other Caribbean delights next time! ”

“ A highly recommended Ghanaian eatery in the centre of Plymouth. Mama Rita and her amazing team conjure up generous and rich, homemade delights for eat-in or takeaway. Regular orders from here have consisted of Caribbean Chicken Curry (chicken breast cooked with a blend of spices, vegetables & coconut milk) - 10.50, Hot Chilli Chicken (very spicy chicken in a spicy tomato sauce) - 10.95, Red red and plantain (black eyed bean sauce served with fried plantain) - 10.50, jollof rice (rice in a rich tomato sauce and spices) - 4.50, to name a few. The restaurant can be booked for parties. ”
“ Just had a fantastic lunch here - jerk chicken wings and rice were really good, and the pepper soup (with fish) was sensational! Really spicy, and bursting with flavour! Lots of other really interesting things on the menu to try next time, but that soup is probably going to be a repeat order every time ... ”
